Shatavari Root

The Shatavari plant or Asparagus racemosus is a root popularly used in Ayurvedic treatments. It is said to be recommended for women especially for reproductive health, but also for its ability to regulate and adapt the body’s systems to stress – whether male or female.
In Ayurveda, the root is prescribed as a supplement that can treat a wide variety of symptoms and can be taken orally as a dietary supplement or through Ayurvedic skin and hair care products. The root is known to be anti-oxidant rich in that it protects the body, skin and hair from free radicals, it is also used to calm anxiety and improve vitality overall. When used in skin care the root is a great anti-aging ingredient as well.
