The beauty of oils is that they can be used for so many different purposes. It’s not just the occasional head massage to treat yourself to, but rather a full-fledged oiling routine for different occasions, moods and concerns.
From nourishing hair care to slimming formulations, oils promise to do wonders at every step of the beauty regime and from head to toe. Read on to find out which oil to appoint for each purpose.
The Makeup Melter
More so than the makeup you’re applying, it’s the way you take it off that counts when you’re questioning all those blemishes, dark circles, acne et cetera. Keeping chemically endowed mascara, foundation, blush and more for long hours and especially at night during sleep, will not only cause the harmful chemicals to penetrate (more than they already have) but also clog your skin’s pores, disallowing it to breathe and regenerate itself.
Water and cleansers are not enough to draw out makeup from deep within the skin’s pores and for that you need our hard working Floral Makeup Remover. Designed to deal with all types of makeup components and ideal for all skin types, this oil contains natural oils such as anti-microbial Jojoba Oil, nourishing Sunflower Oil and anti-oxidant rich Virgin Olive Oil, to melt away makeup and grime while leaving skin nourished and protected. It also contains beautifully fragrant Jasmine essential oil and Rose extract that tone and soothe the skin.
A Goddess’s Choice
The Indian Goddess of beauty – Lakshmi, is often referred to as “Soundarya” for she embodies radiant, absolute beauty. The secret to her beauty is often cited as her pioneered used of pure Gold in beauty rituals. This beauty ingredient has been brought to you in our much loved Soundarya Facial Serum in the form of 24 karat Gold Bhasma simmered with Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha, Saffron and Liquorice in a blend of Black Sesame oil, aged cow’s Ghee and sweet Almond oil.
With an abundance of potent ingredients, the serum penetrates deep into the skin to give increased radiance and an age defying boost of enhanced elasticity. Rest assured that your skin will look luminous and youthful in six to eight weeks of regular usage.
The Classics
We’ve all heard of perfume base notes but what are base oils? These are also known as “carrier oils”, and they are extracted from nuts or seeds. Known to possess therapeutic properties these are highly absorbent and hence serve as great “carriers” of other herbs and essential oils blend with them- which we would not be able to apply directly otherwise (explore our range of essential oil infused body massage oils).
We recommend trying each of our three virgin base cold pressed oils that have been used for centuries in Indian households and are classics in their own right: Coconut, Almond and Black Sesame oils.
All three oils are enriched with Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and E apart from several essential fatty acids, to nourish the skin and give it a fine, silken texture. The oils act as a physical barrier to environmental pollutants while they seal in skin moisture and promote its regeneration.
The latest addition to our collection of oils is the Black Sesame oil. The most coveted in ancient India as per the Charaka Samhita, and historically one of the oldest extracted oils, this miracle worker has a high lecithin content renowned for mood elevation, with an array of nutrients for nourishing, detoxifying and toning the skin. Interestingly, this oil is also a natural SPF!
A Shimmering Soiree
Our Bath and Shower oils, include pure, naturally distilled essential oils blended in organically grown cold-pressed base oils, derived from a variety of plants, fruits and nuts.
After cleansing apply the oils on wet skin, in a shower, pour them into your bath or simply dress dry skin in these light and fast-absorbed sensual blends, for silky smooth, beautifully shimmered and delicately fragranced skin, before you head out for an evening soiree.
The Fitness Fanatics
Make the most of your yoga and gym sessions: detox, de-stress and get into shape with our Eucalyptus & Black Pepper Body Massage Oil and Trishala Ayurvedic Slimming Oil.
The Eucalyptus Oil boosts blood circulation, draws out toxins from within the body and relaxes muscles, while the fragrance of Eucalyptus essential oil refreshes the senses to ward away fatigue. Lather on the oil before you’re off to an intensive yoga session.
The Trishala slimming oil, contains Trikatu, Sendhav Salt and Peepal Chaal that effectively prevent cellulite formation and assist in weight loss. Massage onto your skin before you’re headed for the gym to catalyse results of your sweat breaking work out.
Food for Hair
Both of our nourishing Ayurvedic hair oils use the finest-quality herbs in cold-pressed oils of Sesame and Coconut to arrest hair loss, promote the growth of healthy new hair, thicken the hair and improve its overall texture.
The Bhringraj Oil is considered “food for hair” in Ayurveda, and is the best massage oil due to its nourishing properties that make it an excellent remedy for hair loss as it stimulates hair growth while giving hair a natural shine. On the other hand, the Japapatti Oil contains Hibiscus flower extract that prevents hair fall, gives hair volume and improves blood circulation.
