The Forest Essentials Som Rasa Silk Skin Tint is like a perfecting cream for the face, lighter than a foundation. You can apply it after using a moisturizer for a tint of colour on your skin for it to look effortlessly polished, even toned and smooth.
Q: 2. Are the Som Rasa Silk Skin Tints suitable for all skin types?
Yes, the Som Rasa Silk Skin Tint is suitable for all skin types. However, if you have very dry skin we suggest using the Advanced Sanjeevani Elixir, prior to applying the tint. Dab little of our dusting powder as a last step to create a natural matte effect.

Chandan – For lighter skin tones
Gulaab Pankh – For underlying pinkish skin tones
Genhu – For medium skin tones
Manjistha – For underlying darker skin tones
Q: 4. How does one understand the undertone of the skin?
The hue that reflects from underneath the skin signifies a person’s skin tone. A fresh and healthy and complexion suggests a higher level of circulation and more oxygen in the skin, regardless of the actual colour.
Cooler skin undertone: If the overall complexion of a person has more blue, pink and red hues, then the suggested undertone is ‘cool’.
Warmer skin undertone: If there are more yellow, peach and golden hues, then the undertone is considered ‘warm’.

We wanted to keep the colour palette simple with four shades that adapt to most skin tones, since this is more a skincare product than a cosmetic one. Anyone with a lighter skin tone can apply the Chandan shade. For pinkish undertones, we suggest Gulaab. For medium to darker skin tones, the shades Genhu and Manjishtha can be used to adapt to the shade of your skin.

Yes, you can mix and blend the shades for them to match your skin perfectly.

This skin tint provides light to medium coverage and it can be built as per your requirements.

The samples of the skin tints are not for sale. We will have samples to test instore and sachets to test online.
Q: 9. Do the skin tints make the skin look cakey when layered?
No, the skin tint does not make the skin look cakey at all, since it is primarily to blur imperfections. However, if you are layering for full coverage, we suggest definitely applying a primer as suggested, to prep the skin.
Q: 10. Do the skin tints have SPF?
The skin tint does not have SPF. You must use a sunscreen under or over the skin tint to protect the skin from sun damage. We have an extremely light textured SPF 50 sunscreen which is perfect for high sun protection.
Q: 11. Are the skin tints suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, since the Som Rasa Silk Skin Tints are made with natual ingredients, they are suitable for sensitive skin. If you are allergic to any ingredients, we suggest you to do a patch test before applying.
Q: 12. How long does the skin tint stay on for?
The skin tint stays on for at least 6-8 hours.
Q: 13. What is the ideal way to remove the skin tint from the face?
You can use any makeup cleanser to remove the skin tint from your face. We suggest the Micellar Water or the Floral Makeup Remover Oil. Use either of the two with a cotton pad to gently remove the tint from your skin. Then wash your face with a facial cleanser for a deeper cleanse.

Similar to most makeup products that suit the purpose of cosmetic camouflage, the Som Rasa Silk Skin Tint is ideal to accentuate your natural beauty. It can be layered on the skin to reduce the appearance of blemishes or pigmentation, for an effortlessly polished look. It is enriched with skin benefitting ingredients including naturally derived Salicylic Acid from Babchi and other key Ayurvedic ingredients that help to treat acne and blemishes. Fresh Babchi paste was traditionally used as a Lepa or mask to brighten the complexion, visibly reduce pigmentation, detoxify, and plump the skin by boosting its collagen enhancing tissues.

The base of this light textured and silky tint is enriched with freshly hand-pressed oils of Moringa, Almond, Sunflower and Green Tea, so a blend of water and very light oils. A ferment Oil Complex, this decoction helps ensure concentrated vitality to strengthen and protect the skin barrier, unlike other conventional, pore-clogging foundations.

Yes, you can apply the skin tint without prepping your face.

The skin tint does not dry the skin. However, for any makeup to glide well on dry skin, it is advisable to apply the Advanced Sanjeevani Elixir which acts like a natural sebum.
