In ancient India, the skin on our bodies was given the same care and attention as that given to the face. Taking this legacy forward are our Silk Soaps, which are revived ancient soap formulations for flawless glowing skin. Using the finest natural ingredients and blends, these are prepared with unique processes including a rare Ghee wash, and a pure Silk infusion.
15 years ago, it was a handmade batch of freshly churned, ladled and cut soaps that marked the birth of Forest Essentials. Today, the same attention to each individual soap is given as it was many years ago.
These are made with a closely guarded secret formula of pure Silk, a hundred times washed Ghee and Ayurvedic herbs, left to cure for upto 12 weeks under the sun, before they are intricately cut and packed in gossamer fine butter paper which retains all the ingredient properties to an optimal level.
The therapeutic virtues of the unique ingredients use to prepare the soaps, give an exceptional satin sheen to the soap– akin to how your skin will look upon using them.
Natural Silk gives a silken consistency; pure, natural spring water, fresh herb and essential oil distillates are infused with cold-pressed, organic oils of Almond, Coconut and Castor for glow and moisture; Kokum Butter regenerates and nourishes skin; Ashwagandha increases immunity; Mulethi refines the skin’s texture and the purest Sandalwood paste and fine Lac oil clarify the skin.

The Making Of Silk Soaps Complex, Traditional Methods of Manufacturing
Spring water is first added to pure Cows Ghee and is churned thoroughly by hand, constantly removing excess water and straining it through very fine muslin cloth. Timed with precision, this is repeated at least 20 times to get a very fine, light quality of Ghee that allows its molecules to be easily absorbed by the skin. The soaps are rested for 12 weeks to retain all their properties to an optimal level and this process obtains the most superior quality soaps. Finally, the soaps are carefully cut and packaged by hand in gossamer fine butter paper, and sealed to capture the therapeutic virtues of their precious ingredients, benefits and aromas.
