Q: 1. How are the Madhu Ras Tinted Lip Serums made?

We use hand-pressed oils of Virgin Coconut, Sweet Almond and Moringa along with natural extracts of Rose, Pomegranate, caramelized Cane Sugar scented with Cardamom and fresh Coconut Cream with Saffron, in each respective variant. These are infused in a rich serum containing pure Cow’s Ghee, softening butters of Shea and Cocoa, organic Beeswax and potent herb infusions. Together, these ingredients leave your lips with a satin finish that deeply condition your lips.

 

Q: 2. Which colours are available in the Madhu Rasa Tinted Lip Serums?

The Madhu Rasa Tinted Lip Serum is available in 4 shades:

• Anar Rasa: Ruby red tint
• Gulaab Jal: Rose colour
• Misri Cardamom: Caramel tint
• Coconut Kesar: Clear sheen

 

Q: 3. Do the Tinted Lip Serums have a plumping effect on the lips?

The Madhu Rasa Tinted Lip Serums are enriched with natural ingredients and are chemical free. Whilst they make your lips look naturally fuller, they do not plump the lips.

 

Q: 4. Do the Tinted Lip Serums have honey in them?

Yes, the Madhu Rasa Tinted Lip Serums are enriched with raw, organic honey to deeply moisturise and condition the lips.

 

Q: 5. Do the Tinted Lip Serums condition the lips?

Yes, the Tinted Lip Serums are a collection of slim, sheer tinted lip conditioners bursting with flavour and moisture boosting serums to keep your lips moist, delicately coloured and lightly scented through the day. Use them through the day to drench your lips with a humectant rich serum and stain them with a natural tint.

 

Q: 6. Can I mix the Lip Serums to make my own shade?

Of course! The Tinted Lip Serums are extremely buttery and can be mixed with one another to make your own shade. You can also apply the Coconut Kesar variant to add an extra sheen to other shades of the lip serums.

 

Q: 7. Can the Lip Serums be used on the eyes and cheeks?

Yes, the Tinted Lip Serums can be used on the eyelids and cheeks to add colour. If you use them on the eyelids, we suggest you cleanse them properly before sleeping to avoid any irritation.

 

Q: 8. Can the Lip Serums be used over and under lipstick?

While the Madhu Rasa Tinted Lip Serums have an excellent colour pigmentation, you can also apply them under a layer of lipstick to prime your lips.

 

Q: 9. Do the Lip Serums have a fragrance?

Yes, each variant of the Tinted Lip Serum has a naturally derived fragrance from its ingredients. For instance, the Misri Cardamom variant has a natural fragrance of Cardamom and the Gulaab Jal variant has a natural scent of fresh Rose.

 

Q: 10. Are the Lip Serums water resistant?

No, the Tinted Lip Serums are not water resistant. However, they are infused with hand-pressed oils of Virgin Coconut, Sweet Almond and Moringa so their colour might stay even after the lips come in contact with water.

 

Q: 11. Does the moisture of the lip serum stay after the colour fades?

Yes, the conditioning effect of the Tinted Lip Serums will leave your lips moisturised and nourished, even after the colour fades.

 

Q: 12. Do you use chemical color pigments for the tint in the lip serum?

No, we only use hand-pressed oils of Virgin Coconut, Sweet Almond and Moringa along with natural extracts of Rose, Pomegranate, caramelized Cane Sugar scented with Cardamom and fresh Coconut Cream with Saffron, in each respective variant. These are infused in a rich serum containing pure Cow’s Ghee, softening butters of Shea and Cocoa, organic Beeswax and potent herb infusions.

 

Q: 13. How long does the lip serum stay for?

The colour of the Tinted Lip Serums stays on for 2-3 hours. Whereas, the conditioning effect of the lip serum stays for longer hours.

 

Q: 14. How often can I have to re-apply the lip serum?

The Tinted Lip Serum can be applied as many times through the day. If you are reapplying after long hours for more colour, we suggest wiping off the last layer before applying a fresh one for a long-lasting effect.

 

Q: 15. What is the shelf life of the Tinted Lip Serums?

The Madhu Rasa Tinted Lip Serums are best before 24 months from the manufacturing date mentioned on the labels.

 

Q: 16. Would it melt or get mushy in peak summers as it is made with natural ingredients?

We use naturally hardening ingredients including Beeswax and Candelilla wax in the Lip Serums to ensure they don’t melt under high temperatures. However, we suggest you store these in cool and dry places to maintain its original form and efficacy.

 

Q: 17. Is the product vegan?

No, the Tinted Lip Serums are not vegan as we use pure Cow’s Ghee in our formulation.

 

Q: 18. Do the Tinted Lip Serums protect the skin from sun damage?

We use naturally conditioning ingredients in the Tinted Lip Serums to condition the lips but we have added no natural derivatives for SPF in this product.

 

Q: 19. Do the Tinted Lip Serums have any anti-aging properties?

Some of the ingredients used in the Tinted Lip Serums including Honey, Sweet Almond Oil, Moringa Oil and Coconut Oil have deeply conditioning properties and can help the signs of aging when used regularly.

 

Q: 20. Are all the ingredients mentioned on the label?

Yes, all the ingredients used in the Tinted Lip Serums are mentioned on the labels of each variant.

 

Q: 21. What is the difference between the Forest Essentials Lip Cream, Lip Balms and Tinted Lip Serums?

The Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balms and the Shea Butter Lip Cream are lip care products to nourish the delicate skin of your lips and do not have any colour or tint. Whereas, the Madhu Rasa Tinted Lip Serums have naturally derived colour pigments to give a tint of ruby red, rose, caramel or a clear sheen.

Lip care ritual with all three products:
We suggest you apply the Shea Butter Lip Cream as a nightly treatment for softer lips the morning after. The Luscious Lip Balms can be applied before applying the Madhu Rasa Tinted Lip Serums to further prep and prime the lips for a glossy finish.

 

Q: 22. Why is the Tinted Lip Serum packing not part of the recycling program?

The outer case of our Lip serums is made with a metal - Aluminium which is a reusable / recyclable material. However, at this time our Recycling programme includes acceptance of only our PET packaging, as a large chunk of our packaging is PET plastic. We hope to extend our Recycling programme to include Aluminium soon, and as we do, we will inform you.

 

Q: 23. Is the packaging of the Lip Serum sustainable?

The outer case of the lip serum also is made with Aluminum. All these materials are sustainable and recyclable.
